• Steve Jobs has taken the stage. TwitLive.tv has audio and can probably handle it. Another Ustream bootleg video. Live blog posting photos. #
• Steve is going over the usual growth numbers. iPods, retail stores, revenue, etc. Summary: Apple is a successful company. #
• Early impression: Steve is going for his legacy now. Now showing photos of him and Woz in the garage, talking history. #
• "And now let's talk about the main event… I want to go back to 1991." Setting up the idea of a device in the middle of a phone & computer. #
• iTablet is the name. #
• Just kidding, it's called – sigh, the iPad. #
• So far, iPad looks like a big iPod touch with a very large bevel. One physical button on the front: the Home button. #
• On screen keyboard takes up approximately half the screen when iPad is turned sideways. First impression: iPhone owners won't want this. #
• And silence. All bootleg streams went down at the same time, and now they're back up. Apple staff, or MiFi overload? #
• So far, the only improvements shown r related 2 a larger screen. Gut sense of the reaction thus far is unimpressed. He will need a 2nd act. #
• IRC channels stating that Apple AAPL is down 2.2%. Buy on the rumor, sell on the news. IRC also reporting, no iPad jailbreak yet. :) #
• Zachary Quinto and Star Trek fans will be glad to know that JJ Abrams Spock got a cameo in the demo. #
• European IRC network, IRCnet, is dead silent. Demo is continuing. gdgt likes the UI. This appears to be a very "non-techy" device. #
• Quinto and Star Trek fans will continue to be excited. Gizmodo reporting seeing a "flash not installed" icon. This is a big, thin iPod touch #
• Big news: Just went through talking about wireless and no mention of cellular connection. Also, no mention of new content partnerships. #

• #Apple may not have iPad.com but it's ok- they never got iTV.com or AppleTV.com either, and we know that's been a great product. Oh wait… #
• At this point, the device isn't revolutionary, so I'm slowing down my tweeting. Continuing at this point would be buying into propaganda. #
• Re "iPad": I predict almost as many jokes as made about the Wii. This time, toward the female demographic. Equal opportunity immaturity. :) #
• Thus far: #iPad. 9.7" screen. Runs iPhone apps. No cellular. No Adobe Flash. 10hr battery. No camera or mic. No word on price, or iPhone 4. #

• Pricing is very non-Apple like. You'll need a grid. 6 prices, starting at $500. 3G costs additional $130. At least AT&T wasn't forced on us. #
• If anyone actually buys the iPad with AT&T 3G, imagine the continued data congestion. It's delayed – I'm guessing at the request of AT&T. #
