  2. Breathing Emergencies - 25 points

• Swimming Skills (80 points possible)
  1. Shallow Dive, 50 yard approach
     • 45 seconds: 15 points
     • 50 seconds: 10 points
     • 55 seconds: 5 points
  2. 50 yard swim with 10lb brick
     • 1 min 20 seconds: 15 points
     • 1 min 30 seconds: 10 points
     • 1 min 40 seconds: 5 points
  3. Tread water with 10lb brick
     • 2 minutes: 15 points
     • 1 min 30 seconds: 10 points
     • 1 minute: 5 points
  4. Stride Jump, 200 yard swim
     • 3 min 30 seconds: 15 points
     • 3 min 45 seconds: 10 points
     • 4 minutes: 5 points
  5. 12 minute swim
     • 700 yards: 20 points
     • 650 yards: 17 points
     • 600 yards: 15 points
     • 550 yards: 12 points
     • 500 yards: 10 points
     • 450 yards: 5 points
• Participation/Attendance (65 points)
  • 5 points deducted for each absence
  • 3 tardies equals one absence
• Final Exam: 160 points

Total Points: 581

• A = 523 - 581
• B = 465 - 522
• C = 407 - 464
• D = 349 - 463

Extra requirements for ARC certification:

• 80% on each section exam.
• successful completion of skills tests and scenarios
• attend the mandatory number of hours
